Dental Implant Specialist in Gurgaon

Consultation room at Denz Aesthetics with framed qualifications on the wall

Choosing a dental implant specialist in Gurgaon comes down to one question: what happens if your case turns out not to be simple? Plenty of clinics place implants. Fewer can rebuild missing bone, deal with an implant that has failed, or tell you plainly when an implant is the wrong answer. At Denz Aesthetics, implants are planned by Dr Lokesh Yadav, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and implantologist, and Dr Anjali Yadav, a periodontist and implantologist.

What the word specialist should mean

"Implantologist" can describe very different training, so it is fair to ask what sits behind it. Two backgrounds matter most, and this clinic has both under one roof:

  • Oral and maxillofacial surgery. Three further years of training in the surgery of the teeth, jaws and facial skeleton. That covers the bone, the nerve in the lower jaw and the sinus above the upper back teeth, which are the things an implant has to respect.
  • Periodontics. The specialty of the gums and the bone that hold teeth in place. Healthy tissue around an implant is much of what decides how long it lasts.

Four questions to put to any clinic

  1. Who places the implant? Ask for the name, and whether that person also plans it.
  2. What will you look at before agreeing to it? An implant should be planned from an X-ray or 3D scan, not from a look in the mouth.
  3. What if there is not enough bone? The answer should be a plan, not a shrug or a sudden change to a bridge.
  4. What happens if something goes wrong? Find out who sees you, and where.

The cases that arrive here

Many people come after being told elsewhere that it cannot be done. Bone that has shrunk since a tooth was lost is the usual reason, and grafting or a sinus lift rebuilds the site first. Others bring an implant that has loosened or become infected, or a denture they want replaced with a fixed set. Over 1,400 implants have been placed by Dr Lokesh Yadav so far, along with more than 50 full-mouth rehabilitations.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a specialist for a single implant?

Not always. A straightforward single implant in good bone is routine work. A specialist matters most when bone is thin, when the site sits near the nerve or sinus, or when you have gum disease that needs treating first.

I was told I do not have enough bone. Is that final?

Usually not. It means the site has to be rebuilt before an implant goes in, which adds a stage and some months. It is one of the most common reasons people are referred to this clinic.

Can you look at an implant placed somewhere else?

Yes. It is assessed honestly: sometimes a failing implant can be saved, and sometimes it has to come out and the site is rebuilt.

What is the difference between a surgeon and a periodontist for implants?

A maxillofacial surgeon trains in the jaws and the bone, and a periodontist in the gums and supporting bone. Both doctors here are implantologists, and the case decides who leads.
